Cleaning
How do I spot clean my rug? What is the washing routine?
Absorb spills with a cloth and you can use a mild cleaner or distilled white vinegar. Pet accidents should be professionally washed.
Can I vacuum my rug?
Yes! It’s important to remove dust and debris to extend the life of your rug. Seasonally, I like to vacuum both sides of the rug to loosen the dust. Avoid vacuum brushes on flatweave carpets.
Do you offer rug cleaning?
We do not offer in house cleaning and repairs but are happy to make recommendations locally or in New York.
Rug Sizing
Do i need a rug pad?
Rug pads keep your rug laying flat and help preserve your rug by preventing it from shifting. We like a thin, rubber backed felt pad and offer custom cut pads to your rug size. If you’d like an alternative pad with your order, just let us know.
How do i size for my space?
We would like to say there are no rules. But for room size rugs, all of the furniture should be touching the rug - it does not need to run completely under the furniture. Leave around a foot of exposed floor from the wall.
But! If you fall in love with a rug that’s smaller than you needed, consider layering on a natural fiber rug. It’s always worth buying the one you’ll enjoy for years to come.
Durability
Antique Vs Vintage
Antique rugs were made in the 1920s or earlier and not intended for export. These rugs used naturally dyed, small batch wool. You can see the artistry by the weaver in each rug. Late vintage rugs typically use synthetic dyes and were made for commercial trade.
What is an antique washed rug?
Antique washed rugs have gone through a process of lightening the original dyes of the rug. It creates a faded, soft colored or neutral appearance to the rug.
Do you offer appraisals?
We are not offering appraisals at this time.
Shipping
do you offer free Domestic shipping?
We offer free domestic shipping. For international shipments, contact us for a quote.
When can I see my order status?
Once your order is placed, you should receive an email confirmation and update with shipping once the package is on its way.
Can I do local pick up for my order?
Yes! Once you place your order, just reach out to let us know you’d prefer pick up in Hudson and we can have it ready for pick up during store hours.
Returns
Are you final sale?
Buyer must notify of their intent to return and return ship the rug within 3 days of delivery. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Refunds will be issues minus our cost of shipping to you. All decor is final sale.
Do you offer Rugs on approval?
If you are local to the Hudson Valley, we offer on approval services with local pick up.

Do you rent rugs?
We do not offer rental or staging services. If you have a special project, contact us and we will see how we can help.
We don’t see what we need, do you have additional inventory?
We are always getting new things! Inventory comes to our Hudson store before they make their way to the online shop. If you’re looking for something specific, contact us. Designers should explore our trade exclusive inventory here.
